Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use sh4de (sh4de.cc and the domains it serves links on). By making an account or uploading anything, you agree to them. They're written to be short and readable; if anything is unclear, email [email protected] or ask on Discord.

your account

  • sh4de is invite-only. You need a valid invite to sign up, and you can only make one account per person.
  • Keep your password and API key (used by ShareX) secret. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Invites you hand out are linked to you. If someone you invite breaks these rules, we may look at the invites you created.

what you upload

  • You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give sh4de permission to store it, convert it (for example videos into a format every browser plays) and show it to the people you share it with, only so we can run the service.
  • Only upload things you have the right to share, including music on your profile.
  • Not allowed: anything illegal; sexual content involving minors (reported to the authorities); sharing someone's private information or intimate images without consent; harassment or threats; malware, phishing or scams; content you don't have the rights to; using sh4de as storage for a different site or app.
  • We can remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, with or without warning. Copyright holders can ask us to remove their work at [email protected] and we'll do so.

sh4de+

  • sh4de+ is a one-time purchase of €5 (taxes included) that unlocks extra features on your account for as long as sh4de runs. It isn't a subscription.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Changed your mind? Ask for a refund within 14 days and you'll get it; sh4de+ is then removed from your account. Your rights under EU consumer law always apply.
  • If your account is banned for breaking these terms, there's no refund.

the service

  • We do our best to keep sh4de online and your files safe, but it's provided as-is, without guarantees. Keep your own copies of anything important.
  • We may change or remove features. If we ever shut sh4de down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your files.
  • As far as the law allows, sh4de isn't liable for indirect damage or lost data. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer.

leaving

You can delete your uploads at any time. To delete your whole account, email [email protected] or ask an admin on Discord and we'll remove it and your files.

changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site or on Discord before it applies. Dutch law applies to these terms. See also our privacy policy.
